You guys donated $10,345 pesos or $550 USD!!! Th You guys donated $10,345 pesos or $550 USD!!!

That money went towards buying groceries, underwear, socks and uniforms for the families.
The remaining money was given directly to the families so that they could have autonomy over buying materials for the reparation of their destroyed houses.

You also donated an amazing amount of clothes, (new!) underwear, tables, gas tanks, shoes, blankets, food, hygiene kits (!!!!), school supplies, and more. What a deeply inspiring and hopeful community we have!

Thank you so much:

@juliafranzosaphoto is still accepting donations for her backpacks shes putting together for the kids!

The baba de nopal helps bind the paint and slow the drying process for less cracking.

I thought the color would be bright yellow, but it turned out peach! Follow along if you want to see final result of our compost bathroom painted!

Gracias Don Polo por los nopales ♡

I've been recieving some messages from Americans ( I've been recieving some messages from Americans (who hope to move here to México) about what off grid life in México actually entails, and heres what I have to say about that.

It can be dangerous here. The influencers claiming the complete safety of México are trying to sell you something. I feel safe in my particular rancho, and I feel protected by my husband, Alejandro, AND I know that can change in a heartbeat...

If your truest hearts desire is to live off grid in México, you would have to make the choice yourself and radically accept the danger that comes with it.

If you want to come here and replicate life in the US, you will most likely fail. Individualism, overconsumption and convenience are almost non existent on most ranches out here. Although you can have a ranch here that mimics conventional US life (private/separate from community/shiny new things/perfect), just know that your spot is the first place we raid in the apocolypse hahaha jk we dont want your shiny shit!

Some advice if ya wanna live rurally here:

~Be involved with the community!
~Give more than you take!
~Speak spanish!
~Teach your neighbors your native language (if the people are interested)!
~Skill share!
~Share overabundance!
~Fix shit! Make shit!
~Move your body all day!

And above all, be kind (but take no shit) ♡♡♡

But for real, how is anyone building the infrastructure of a ranch without free shit? In this Economy?!??!
